According to a recent study, mortgage rates have increased very slightly for the first time in a month. The small increase is attributed mainly to the government shutdown, and the resulting inability of various economic reports to be released. Unfortunately, most experts agree that without a resolution to the shutdown, mortgage rates will remain relatively unchanged, possibly even decreasing over the next week. More here
